Beneath Kuala Lumpur's cloud-grazing skyscrapers are small outdoor kitchens dishing out wallet-friendly meals. Locals gather at these sidewalk spots to grab breakfast and chat with their colleagues before starting their day. Then I realized how laidback and friendly Malays are.
They're a warm and welcoming bunch, It's striking how much they remind me of Filipinos back in my country. For a while, of all the places I've been to, This one felt like home.
And for our final stop—Penang, Malaysia’s food capital. The streets are lined with sizzling food carts, while concept cafés dot the Old Town, adding a modern twist to its
historic charm.
Here, the past and present collide. The younger,
art-forward generation has made a home in this old neighborhood, turning it into a vibrant mix of the nostalgic old world and fresh, creative energy.
